What is Prayer?

Prayer, in one sense, is actually every thought you hold, for the Divine Spirit knows all things. In living our lives with integrity and a sense of our higher purpose, we are in fact ‘praying unceasingly’ without even knowing it.

However, prayer is also a deliberate form of communication we have with the Divine Spirit, God-Force or whatever name you prefer. Here we may give thanks for the blessings in our lives, ask for protection, or entreat for the outcomes we most wish in our lives. We may also pray for the world, those we love and those we may be concerned for.

In any prayer, it is wise to ask that the Divine Will be done, as sometimes our highest good can be achieved in ways we could never have conceived. Angels hear our prayers and are often God’s messengers in assisting us in times of need.
